Here’s my review of the fabulous Bonny Moon Beach Club, a perfect spot for relaxing, working and playing:
Taking over the iconic site that once housed Calico Jack’s, this revamped beach bar offers a blend of laid-back tropical vibes with a touch of sophistication. The much-anticipated Bonny Moon Bar has quickly become one of the hottest spots on Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach.
Previously known as a dive bar where locals and tourists alike would hang out barefoot, sandy, and carefree, Calico Jack’s was a favorite for spontaneous dips in the ocean and lively volleyball matches on the nearby courts. However, after closing during the pandemic, the space sat abandoned until it was reimagined in a new era…
Enter the Dart Corporation, known for luxury developments like Hotel Indigo, Seafire, and The Ritz-Carlton. With their investment, Bonny Moon was brought to life, offering an inviting space for visitors to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Catering to both locals and travelers, this new spot perfectly captures the charm of a casual beach bar with a more refined twist.
Beachfront Bliss: The Perfect Setting
Bonny Moon’s setting is unbeatable. Nestled right next to Seven-Mile Beach, where sand volleyball courts are rarely empty, it’s a go-to spot for post-game drinks or simply soaking in the tropical atmosphere.
Whether you’re lounging with a cocktail, working remotely (yes, it’s that chill), or enjoying the sunset, the vibes are immaculate. The beachside location offers a Tulum-meets-Caribbean feel, with its relaxed yet vibrant energy, making it one of the most exciting places to visit on the island.

Their versatile back-beat resort vibe makes it appealing any and all times of the day and from Fridays all through the weekend, the DJs keep the energy high, setting the perfect tone for beachside parties.

The food and drink offerings are excellent, some even phenomenal; from creative cocktails to delicious bites, the menu features something for everyone. Highlights include fresh seafood salads, crispy schnitzel, and a standout cabbage dish with Labneh sauce that will have you dreaming of your next visit.
Flatbreads, crudo, and a gelato cart round out the new and diverse selection of treats…nothing better than a nice frozen dessert on the beach! It’s easy to see why Bonny Moon appeals to a mix of tourists, locals, and beachgoers alike.
