Hotel Review:
Hotel Bardo in Savannah, GA
Dave and I took our own advice and escaped for a Valentine’s Weekend… to gorgeous, historic Savannah, Georgia, only a couple of hours by car from our home in Charleson, South Carolina. We stayed at the amazing Hotel Bardo, which quickly earned a top spot on my list.
Want to plan the perfect southern weekend in Savannah, crafted just for you? Reach out, tell us your travel dream, and we’ll make it come true.
If you’re planning a trip to Savannah and looking for a hotel that blends exclusivity with incredible amenities, Hotel Bardo should be at the top of your list. Perfectly placed right across from beautiful Forsyth Park, this stylish retreat offers a serene neighborhood atmosphere just a short ride away from the bustling River District. Here’s my overview of this amazing place:
Exclusive Perks & Location
Hotel Bardo is a preferred hotel for The Curated Travel Collection, which means exclusive perks such as complimentary breakfast for two and a $100 resort credit on most bookings. Open for just about a year and a half, it has quickly become a hotspot for travelers looking for a high-end, yet inviting experience.
The hotel also offers a car service within a two-mile radius, making it easy to explore downtown Savannah without the hassle of parking. We loved having this convenience, so we could easily explore the historic sights and vibrant dining scene without having to worry about driving home.

A Unique Members & Guests Concept
One of the more intriguing aspects of Hotel Bardo is its hybrid membership model. With just under 300 members, the hotel creates an intimate, club-like atmosphere where guests and members can enjoy access to food and beverage outlets, the stunning pool area, and Club Bardo.
However, certain areas, like Club Bardo and the poolside restaurant, Bar Bibi, are exclusively available to hotel guests and members. Club membership is more geared towards Savannah locals, so the mix of locals and visitors creates a unique and inviting experience. It also creates some priceless travel perks: visitors can learn all about the city directly from its residents, and feel truly immersed in the culture of Savannah.
Dining at Hotel Bardo
Savannah’s dining scene is buzzing, and St. Bibiana, the hotel’s signature restaurant, is one of the hottest spots in town. Unfortunately, we couldn’t snag a reservation during our stay (it was Valentine’s weekend, after all), but we were still able to enjoy the full St. Bibiana menu at Club Bardo (one of the perks for hotel guests and members).
Other dining options include:
- Bar Bibi, located by the pool, serving craft cocktails, sandwiches, and their signature Pizza Settas.
- The Green Room, the lobby bar with gorgeous art deco-inspired decor, offering bites after 5 PM.

Elevated Amenities & Experience
From the moment we checked in at 3 PM on Saturday until we left at 1 PM on Sunday, we didn’t feel the need to step outside the hotel, as everything was right there at our fingertips (which was lucky, since it was rainy and cold!). Hotel Bardo truly offers a one-stop luxury experience, with amenities including:
- A full-service spa and sauna.
- A phenomenal gym equipped with everything you need for a great workout.
- Spacious rooms, including terrace suites with standalone tubs, outdoor seating, and high-end touches like Dyson hair dryers and Nespresso machines.

- Full-size, eco-friendly toiletries, which is a great touch as hotels move toward sustainability.
- A cooking school experience with St. Bibiana’s chef, where participants visit the market in the morning and take part in an immersive cooking class in the evening.
Hotel Bardo is now one of my absolute favorite hotels. The combination of luxury, exclusivity, and an unbeatable location makes it the perfect escape in Savannah. Whether you’re lounging by the pool, indulging in craft cocktails at Bar Bibi, or enjoying a world-class meal at Club Bardo, every detail is designed for a seamless and relaxing stay.
Highly, highly recommend this property – especially if you’re looking for an elevated experience with fantastic amenities. And remember, if you book through us, you’ll enjoy extra perks like complimentary breakfast for two and resort credits!
